Biography
José Félix González Castilla
Aranda de Duero, 1986 · Sports Physiotherapist
José Félix González Castilla (Aranda de Duero, Spain, 1986) is a sports physiotherapist based in Mallorca, recognised nationally and internationally, with 9 years of experience on the ATP World Tour, where he provided personalised physiotherapy, rehabilitation, osteopathy and reconditioning to numerous professional tennis players at tournaments around the world.
From an early age his vocation was clear, always tied to sport —especially cycling and everything around the bicycle (duathlon, triathlon)—, which led him to train in sports physiotherapy. His connection with tennis began in 2010, alongside prestigious doubles names such as Leander Paes and Lukas Dlouhy, and with a Wimbledon mixed-doubles title together with Cara Black.
That same season he signed with Tomas Berdych (then ATP world No. 6), with whom he celebrated titles in Beijing, Montpellier and Stockholm, the 2012 Davis Cup, a final at the Mutua Madrid Open and two qualifications for the ATP World Tour Finals. He has worked with players such as Janko Tipsarevic, Mikhail Youzhny, Denis Istomin, Ricardas Berankis, Dusan Lajovic and Yen-Hsun Lu, and is the official physiotherapist for the Lithuania and Uzbekistan Davis Cup teams.
His greatest professional milestone came in February 2024, when Rafa Nadal called on his services during the US swing, attending the Rafa Nadal Academy for his tune-up alongside his technical team. His elite clients also include Carlos Moyá (former ATP world No. 1) and athlete Juan Carlos Higuero.
He completed his clinical training alongside the doctors and physiotherapists of Real Madrid (2007-2008) and at the High Performance Centre (CAR) of the Spanish Federation, and worked in football with Arandina CF (2009-2010) and handball with Club Balonmano Villa de Aranda. Today he has run his own clinic in Palma de Mallorca since October 2018, where he treats with the same commitment both elite athletes and anyone who simply wants to move without pain again.
